WWF Earth Hour Saturday 25th March 2017 8.30pm
WWF’s Earth Hour is an annual global movement where millions of people across the planet join businesses and landmarks in switching off their lights for one hour to show they care about the future of our planet. It’s been the hottest year on record for the third year in a row and nearly 1 in 6 species are now at risk of extinction from climate change. That’s why we need you to join us this Earth Hour, switch off your lights on Saturday 25 March at 8.30pm Show that you want our leaders to take urgent action on climate change join us and be part of it – sign up!

Vision Aid Overseas (VAO)
Please donate your unwanted glasses and sunglasses (prescription or regular) for reuse or recycling by VAO. It is a great opportunity to help people in Africa to be able to see by having eye tests and matching prescriptions. Please put your unwanted glasses in the box at reception – this small act will change someone’s life. Thankyou

Scholastic leaflets for this Book Club are available from the LRC or the English Department. Students may use World Book Day tokens to take £1 off the cost of any titles ordered. Please have orders and money in to the LRC by Friday 24 March. Thank you.

Iceland Geography Trip 2017

Drama Showcase
Senior pupils will be hosting a Drama Showcase of their acting pieces on Monday 13th March in the Drama Studio 5pm – 6:30pm. This is a free event and there are no tickets, just turn up on the night. This is a fantastic opportunity to see some of our talented pupils performing. Come along and support your peers!

S6 Pupils
Murrayfield Stadium are looking for young people who would like to work in catering and hospitality roles. The next 6 Nations fixture is on Saturday 18th March. They are looking to hold an open day to facilitate the training and induction. If you are interested and are available to work on that date, please speak to your PSL for further details.
Students available for work would be trained in and receive certification for a variety of roles.
